People often ask on discussion forums what the best contact lens brand is, and this question also comes up in optician stores quite regularly.
I cannot recommend any one brand over another. People are individuals and what fits to the other doesn’t fit at all to another.
The way people wear contact lenses, power of the lenses, the size of the eye and also the amount and composition of lacrimal fluid all affect on what is the best contact lens for the individual.
Of course I could rank contact lenses based on certain factors such as oxygen permeability, water content, thickness and price. You cannot, however, think of only one factor when selecting lens, instead, you need to take all factor into account.
You can find the best contact lens for you by going and trying them on.
Unfortunately some people decide to order contact lenses on the Internet based on some “good” recommendation on a discussion forum.

Opticians do have their personal favorites
Even though it’s difficult to say what the best contact lens brand is without looking deeper into it, I’m sure all of us opticians have our personal favorites. And quite often we start fitting with this brand. The lenses of such brand often work well with most customers. Also the selection of brands in a particular store affects what brand we start with.
I’m sure that a customer gets the best possible lenses from a store with a wide selection of lenses to choose from. In this case, at least I use lenses from several different brands as this enables me to find the best possible contact lenses for the customer.
